Ok- final update. The hospital called this AM- early. My father died
overnight. Sad, but also a relief for him. I'll be in and out the
next
2 days making arrangements. Then off to Texas to take care of my neices
(already had been planned). Thanks all for your support.

Lordy, Theresa, sounds like you're going through a tough stretch but
getting the necessary accomplished. Do hope your Dad improves, tho'
with strokes that can take some time, I think.

He's about the same it seems. They are working with
him, so we'll see. Hopefully they are going to remove
the NGtube and place a PEG. That should at least make
him more comfortable. I did manage to get a million
more papers signed, got everything done for financial
and medical trustee (at least for local places),
forwarded his mail, made arrangements for rent payment
from his renter, etc. So- lots accomplished. Kind of
depressing though not seeing really any change since
Tuesday. Not that I should have expected it, but was
hoping.
I'm just got back home again and went immediately for
a walk. Good to be outside and moving.

How's your dad doing?

I'm back in Oroville again today- feels like I'm
on
the sun. It was too hot today! And of course I
was
in and out of my car a dozen times between the
hospital, the bank, the post office, my dad's
house,
back to the bank, etc. etc. Roasting! Hope
tomorrow
is cooler. I watered his trees this evening, and
all
the little bird came flocking to the puddles to
drink
and get wet. Poor things- they must have been
roasting too!
