No on the hort oil. I found this interesting bit on the web
http://entweb.clemson.edu/cuentres/eiis/pdfs/TO17.PDF I didn't know that
aphids ever had and alternate host.
Once the plant matures a bit, the problem seems to go away, at least it did
for me. I'm sure it helped that I encouraged the good guys (ladybugs and
such)
