Was out today and noticed my native "bush" clematis were crawling  
with blister beetles, munching voraciously. Hit them with insecticide  
- no other choice - if I hadn't caught them when I did, the plants  
would have been defoliated by tomorrow. It is the only time I've had  
to use it this year, but it was clearly a case of kill or be killed.
