Re: Heliconia

Just the usual stuff, Andrea. Osmocote. It's in a 15 gallon pot under the avocado tree. So no sun, lots of light, lots of air circulation. It depends on Ms. Fatma's hose for water. But I really believe it's all the rain we've had and the heat that have put it into bloom mode. It's got four bloom spikes.

Mine got spider mites and hasn't done squat yet. I think I've gotten rid of
most of them but no blooms so far. Do you fertilize yours Jim? I do mine,
as it is in a pot, but just regular stuff, nothing special. Is there
something else I should be using?

Another plant I just got ID'd. Turns out this one is considered a weed
[or worse] in the real tropics.
