Re: very OT - close call w/ a pit bull

Pam, Take several pictures of both shins, front & side views. Also watch for discoloration around your ankle/heel in a couple of days. Where it's over a bone, the blood may settle, rather than coming to the surface. Also measure around your leg at the level of the bruise, compared to the other leg's measurement. Swelling may not be easy to see if it's spead out.
I agree you need to be careful. Make a written statement of the incident and your conversation with the neighbor, just the facts, no opinion.

Thanks. And can you believe the jerk got on my case about calling the law?
He said you could have knocked on the door. I told him I DID knock on your
door first you yutz but you were to chicken to answer it. He lied and said
he wasn't there. I won't bore you w/ the rest of the conversation. Bottom
line was I told him I was NOT having this - it was totally unacceptable.
And the ballbat is staying on the porch, just in case.

Pam, I can not imagine how terrified you must have been and are thinking
