They're illegal here, but that only deters the timid, apparently. Kinda silly when you think about it--a payote button would give you the same light show without the fire danger and probably cost a lot less.

They did finally stop here a little after 11pm. Indiana has two new laws causing the problems. One lifted a ban on out of state fireworks so everyone is going crazy with buying newest, loudest stuff. The other is that we are now on daylight savings time which means it is light out later so now they can do fireworks at home until 11 except for tonight they can do it until midnight.

I was very thankful for the rain yesterday as I was seriously worried about fireworks with everything being dry here. Of course, my plants appreciated it too... They didn't stop the fireworks till 1am here last night, well... that's the last time it woke me up anyways....
