Re: Gate rehab project

Really, it just takes having the right tools and an endless supply of ideas on one's head (which I never seem to have a shortage of!). I have a Delta battery-operated tools set that is just fantastic- even the small circular saw (that cuts lattice easily) can do many cuts before needing a recharge. I got the set on clearance at Lowes a couple years ago and it includes the circular saw, drill/driver, brad nailer, hand sander and a flashlight, with 2 rechargable batterys- I think I paid $125 for the whole thing.

Gate rehab project
So- I ripped of the fence boards on the bottom of the gate and replaced
them with lattice both inside and outside of the gate frame. Quite
pleased with the result and it will look better once it fade in color to
blend in with the rest of the fence.
