I've done some hunting, and apparently several variety do better in dry
areas. There are a couple of species that look similar to mine, but
who knows which one it really is. Crinum moorei, Crinum abyssicum,
*/Crinum x pranianum/* (which is a cross between the first two I listed
done by Luther Burbank)- the picture I found looks closest, and also
maybe Crinum jagus. Mine has just the fainted hint of pink at the edges
of the petals and the flower stack is actually quite red (clearly
distinct from the other green foliage).
