RE: Yahoo! News Story - Flowers disappear alongside wild bees, study finds - Yahoo! News

Thanks, Theresa. I would have thought pesticides might be an issue, but it
does seem odd that the more common species are inversely affected by the
trend if it were a pesticide issue. Still, if some of the more rare bees
were less able to handle certain trace amounts of chemicals that the more
common bees deal with on a regular basis, I suppose it could still be a
pesticide issue.

Now I'll have to go looking to see whether there are any US studies on the
same topic (outside killer bee populations.)

Blessings,
Bonnie (SW OH - zone) who hate that the trend reduces the wildflower
diversity as well.
