We had a nice front come through last night with some rain, too. Not as much rain as I would have liked, but enough to wash off the dust. Everything looks perky today, and the temp is in the 80s.

Saw on TWC that it's 110 in Fresno and 115 in Redding. 82 here--with thunder showers. Just got a phone call from Ms Fatma; she got caught in one of those downpours and had to pull into a parking lot until it let up enough to see 20 feet down the road. She said the water in one intersection on U.S. 41 was up to the car doors.

here, but geesh- really feel for you folks..... 118 degrees - I can't
even begin to imagine how hot that is.
Be careful if you are going outside ......

I do like the heat, it's my garden that's getting tired of it. And things
dying is hacking me off. Losing peppers, basil, a couple dayliles, and
other things too annoying to mention. I'm not sure my doublefile viburnum
is going to make it either.
Sick of it. In another week, it'll be 18 months of drought.
