Those small red plums make wonderful juice, prize winning jelly too if it lasts that long. sauce for ice cream or pork roast, pie filling, "cinnamon" roll filling.

Thanks, Vera! I HAVE been doing a bit of home renovation. DH and I had
been discussing something that was out of plumb. WHOOPS! And I was in a
hurry when I sent the note, trying to get a number of other projects out of
the way and get some necessary shopping done. (I hate to shop.) I ran it
through spell check, but then, since there is more than one type of "plum"
word.... I should have re-read it before I sent it.
Ceres, yes it is the same as a plum tree. LOL!!! (Good grief;>) It's a
very straight plum tree. (Shall I say it is a plumb, plum tree?) O.K., so
it isn't that straight. LOL!!!
Donna, jam does sound good. I'm also looking for a nice plum pudding
recipe. Does anyone have an old favorite?
Pastor's wife is still recovering from a very serious foot surgery, so I
took a few plums in for Pastor to give her. I will also give some to a
couple of folks who are fighting illness in their families. (No, they
aren't miracle plums, but hopefully their wonderful flavor will make them
smile.)
Blessings,
Bonnie (SW OH - zone 5)

You have to excuse her....it is the home remodeling and construction that
brought out the plumb in her!
