Re: African Iris bloom!

There is a yellow species, D. bicolor, but it's not as common in my neighborhood for some reason. I've seen it in a display garden at a local nursery once--and they were "fresh out" of plants for sale.

BUTTERFLY FLAG, YELLOW WILD IRIS, PEACOCK FLOWER, UINTJIE, POUBLOM, WEDDING FLOWER, WEDDING IRIS

Various Moraea use the names:
PEACOCK LILY, AFRICAN IRIS, BUTTERFLY IRIS, GROOTFLAPPIE, BRUINUINTJIE

Both in Iris family, must have similaritiesI would guess.

I don't know if it is a Moraea- it doesn't look like any of the pics I could find online- but it might be??
