Oh Pam, I am so sorry...the words are so inadequate.
I will say that you will eventually remember that Sugar LIVED, rather than that she died. And she lived very well indeed with your help. You'll recall wonderful memories of that fiesty little creature that chased passing dogs out of her territory and gave the hoodlums next door what-for. If reincarnation is the way it works, maybe next time around Sugar will be human and you can come back as a stray she rescues. Wouldn't that just be the best?
