Re: OT - asthma relapse/she's gone

Every cat I have had has wandered into my life and made it much richer. When one had to leave, though it was unbearable, a consoling thought was that he left to make room for another. When I lost Mick last year to stomach cancer, I was beside myself. This time I did not get another cat because 5 was just too many and they weren't getting along well. With time, and now only 4 cats, they seem much more comfortable and amiable. Slugger, the most recent addition had been taking the brunt of the attitude and he now fits in much better. No other needy cats have shown up. The time will come though. That "other" time will come too, as it eventually does, and it will be heartbreaking, but it is easier with other little ones needing attention.

Pam, you'll know when the time is right. You might consider volunteering at a shelter to be near, but not too close, to the darlings. And then one day, a little Spice might come into your life, ready or not.

Just remember the longer you wait, the longer some kitty will be without a loving home.
