Re: It's just hot

Yep- here too. It is 108 at 7pm. It's cooling down- our high was 109. It was only going to be 105 today- but nope it was hotter! Tomorrow is supposed to only be 100- yeah right...I'll believe it when I see it. There were also ALOT of illegal fireworks here this year- usually there are only a couple- but wow- there were many many this year. Nothing close enough to concern me about fire at my house thankfully. I am fighting a rat battle again this summer. Where do they come from??? I thought about getting one of those electric shock rat killer contraptions, but I was too afraid some other little creature might go in and get zapped. So, yes, I've resorted to rat poison again. Thing is, this apparently is a really picky rat, and does like the first brand I put out...good greif.

enough for another canner load. My sister wanted
zucchini and I said "Sure!". She got a bag with about
15 of them, everything I picked last night. Told her
when I see her on Friday she can have more, I bet she
won't take them.
