If you can grow regular glads -from So Africa, I'd think you could grow these. They are considered tender bulbs here. Acidanthera is hardy in USDA zones 7 - 10. As I recall they are about 24-30 inches tall. I think the flowers are more just at the top of the stem rather than all along it like the showy glads. It's been a long time.

Are they tall--like the funeral parlor gladiolus--or shorter? Don't know why I ask; likely won't grow here. But like the bat flower, just exotic looking.
