Re: Tibouchina

I saw the man last night at the Bromeliad meeting that had the variegated  
Tibouchina plant, that I saw.  He told me that the tibouchina is  Tibouchina 
lepidota variegata and is from Australia where they use it  as cut flowers in 
arrangements.   (He sent me a picture....I forwarded  it to Jim. )
