I have read about that sort of thing before. Guess I'm inclined to think
the cats lie next to the dying because the nurses are keeping it warm
and the person isn't moving around. But it's kind of a comforting

thought anyway. Speaking of cats our kittens (the offspring of the stray cat that showed

up) are walking now. My husband is quite taken with one of the
tortoiseshell kittens. I wouldn't mind keeping one (although that'd be
four cats if we keep mama too) but I haven't said anything to him. We'll
see what happens.
