Re: speaking of flowers
Same for me Donna. Usually my purple cone flowers stay beautiful during
the whole summer, but this year they look so SAD and they are dying at
warp speed. I have rust on plants that I have NEVER had a problem with.
The humidity we are having, after all the rain we received, is not only
hurting my plants, but my animals. I have had two llamas get overheated
and I've had to hose them down with cool water and put them in stalls
with fans on them.

How do you southern gardeners stand it? Everything is blooming but at
the wrong times, flowers one day- dead heading the next. Flowers used to
last more than a day or two here, but with this current cycle, I barely
get to see them.
And then the flopping? My plants always stood up proudly, but this year, everything is flopping over and looks hidious.
