Too...just too wrong. Why do they have to keep showing her picture?
So sorry.
Read this book another time. It is excellent but, though the ending might
be expected, I was really upset when I realized it.

Ughhhhh...not sure I can handle a bad ending right now. Had enough of
the bad endings. Last night I'm watching the 10:00 news before I go
to bed...and my sister's name and picture flashes on the TV and they
are talking about how they are going to make changes after her
accident to keep it from happening again. She was not the only person
who drowned on that road. It has been that way for YEARS. My parents
have to drive by that spot every day. I don't know how they deal with
it right now.
I've just had back-to-back family tragedies the last two months and it
has taken a toll on me...AND my husband.

It's good, but be prepared for the ending. It's realistic.

Wow...sounds like a good book. I could use that right about now.
Everything I have read lately has been so "heavy"...I need to get out
of my own head for awhile. Thanks for that.

Darn, I thought you were going to say you got one, Jim. Nice article;
enjoyed it.
As to Egyptian deities, I read a book recently that made a mention,
from
a
cat's point of view, how they felt about that. If you get a chance to
read
"Forest" by Sonya Hartnett, you'll be engrossed by it. The audio
version
is
fantastic, read by Carolyn Lee.
summary: "Kian, a cossetted suburban cat, is snatched from his comforts
and
dumped in the bush along with two kittens, Cally and Jem. The greatest
threat to their survival are other cats, ferals who fiercely guard
their
territories. Kian survives some unnerving and vicious encounters but is
unswerving in his desire to make the long journey home to his territory
even
though it is apparent his owner is dead and that there will be no
welcome
from the cruel man who has taken over the house. Hartnett's creation of
the
cat's point of view and her sensuous depiction of the forest is
exceptional
in its imagination, beauty and truth."

A short but splendid article about cats.
