Re: The Devil's Garden

Theresa,
I used a mix of Round up and a vine killer to kill off my english ivy. I thought I was being very careful, but drift found its way to both my lawn and my neighbor's. Killed everything. I mentioned this to CES agent and he said he thought that english ivy was highly susceptible to just Round up. Oh well. I reseeded my neighbor's grass but am holding off on doing my own until Labor Day. That stuff annhilated the ivy, but there are still a few pieces at the edges I'll have to watch.

Bet its going to take more than round-up. Maybe vine-x?

I felt like that when i started ripping out the english ivy that was
covering an 10 foot section of fence- front and back.

I have come to the conclusion that Wisteria is Satan's Plant. Now I hate it as much as I hate squirrels. I have purchased the Devil's Garden. Sigh. When I would much rather be tending other wonderful plants, I am battling the 9 million wisteria shoots that surface every 5 minutes. These vines are old, and huge and no matter how much you cut them they sprout again, which I knew
they would, but it's still infuriating.

What to do? Cut them and start spraying the new growth with Round-Up? I've
got to get some of this under control. It's making me crazy.
