Hollyhock seeds? ME! and Bonnie Morgan wanted some too. WOO HOO. My four o'clocks are blooming now..and my hummingbirds just love them. BUT...the tubers that I left in the ground from last year (four o'clocks) have come up big and strong (huge actually) but no flowers. How odd. Why is that? I don't usually leave them in the fall. I pull them all up. But this time I left a few just to see what happened.

Okay my friends, the black hollyhocks are forming seed pods now, should
be ready to harvest here fairly soon. Whoever wanted seeds, go ahead and
e-mail me off list and I'll get you fixed up. When I was out there in my
bird and butterfly sanctuary tonight and surrounded by same, I was
reminded of and old quote that I've always enjoyed.
