Wow, I'm going to go home and give my hubby a big hug. He's a perfect
complement to me in the garden. I do perennials, shrubs, and bed
plantings - he's trees, evergreens and rocks (loves to build those
paths and walls!). He's way more artistic than I and I really rely on
his 'eye' when I get stumped. We're both pretty rabid when it comes to
the yard and take equal pleasure in what we help nature create.
Sometimes I forget how lucky I am that we can share this passion. (Now,
if only one of us could say "NO" to a new plant!!)

How come so many of us competent gardening women end up with husbands
like
that? I have one good gardening friend whose husband is as ardent a
gardener as
she is - how I envy her. My dh was apparently quite good at management
and
personnel matters, but things physical or mechanical just don't interest
him.
All three of my sons are "techies" of one sort or another and are each
very
good in his chosen field - and all of them garden. My husband is proud
of them
but totally can't relate to any of them.
Do any of you gardening guys have any insight into this matter? Auralie
