Texas gardening (a day in the life)

Well my friends, this is how I spent the day.
Finished the mulching job I started Fri. afternoon.
Pine bark along the tree line, cedar mulch everywhere else. Put concrete
pads under all the pots in the front, some to make them level (had to
dig up and transplant sod), the rest to keep my pots free of weedeater
damage plus it looks very neat and orderly now - I like it. Watered all
the back and side areas plus all of Pat's since she's out of town.
Sprayed all of the roses and peppers w/ Neem and a touch of kelp for a
foliar feed. Deadheaded everything that didn't run away from me. Weeded
half the blasted yard and got all the rest of the dead Queen Annne's
lace. Started harvesting black hollyhock seed pods. Finished the patio
bricks out back and set up the chiminea Jesse gave me for Christmas. Lit
it off and burned some pinon wood - ahhh! Then got my mini-pick out and
started chopping out the Johnson and dallis grass over-running the
gravel driveway. Trimmed back all the hackberry branches that kept
swatting me in the head. Staked the glads. Finished up the area next to
the gilder w/ white rock scavanged from a friends new home construction.
Whew.

not bad for a middle aged broad if I do say so myself - LOL
