Marge, I knew H. Lemon Wave wouldn't flower much, I wanted it for the
leaves. If it doesn't make it through to next year, it's not a big
deal.. Mine is a cutting, cost $1.59. We bought a 1/2 flat Lemon Wave
and a 1/2 flat Henry's Garnet Sweetspire wholesale to grow on for our MG
propagation bed. In order to stretch our limited budget to include a
greater variety of plants, our group opts to order more than our budget
and pay for the extras oursleves. That way we get individual plants at
wholesale prices.
We also got 2 mixed flats from Green Mountain. I'm really lookiong
forward to getting Silene 'Clifford Moor' for only $2.25 for a 3.5 inch
pot. This one is really special.

'Lemon Wave' than I did, Kitty...got a good sized one locally last
year and it did not make it through the winter...dead as a
doornail..:-( Lovely foliage while it lasted. I have read it is a
shy bloomer...well, mine sure turned out to be that; maybe it's
blooming in hydrangea heaven somewhere.
I had a lot of dieback to the ground on several newly planted
Hydrangeas this winter. All are returning, but I doubt I'll see
bloom as there was no old wood left. At least all but 'Lemon Wave'
survived.
