Bonnie,
I've never grown dill but the MGs in our Herb Garden mentioned the
Bronze Fennel didn't come back this year and were having trouble
starting it. I found a source and got them one.
When you say Lady's Mantle, do you mean Alchemilla mollis? This one's a
perennial and mine comes back every year but I haven't seen any
seedlings. There are at least 4 other Alchemillas that use that common
name (alpina, conjuncta, sericea, vulgaris) but I don't know which, if
any, is an annual. Also, Leontopodium alpinum uses the common name
Lady's Mantle, but I've always called it Edelweiss. I'm not trying to
split hairs, I'm curious about your plant.
Kitty

Lady's mantle, celosia, cleome that just reseed each year...I don't even
have to replant but I have never been successful with
tickseed...unfortunately, because I love it.
Also, having trouble getting dill to germinate this year...have planted a
couple of times but it doesn't seem to want to grow...other years, I have
had gobs of it. Any ideas?

If you have weeds, you don't have enough plants.
