Re: native/wild bees- and other good bugs
By "new", I mean after use, but soon after they're cut in half and sold.
After they dry out completely, the staves shrink, and the hoops tend to fall
down.
And I'm told that the whiskey barrels will kill plants and fish, but I don't
know about wine barrels. I use plastic liners in mine. I have a couple of
pre-formed plastic, and have also used plain plastic stapled on. I've also
used cut "contractor's bags" with no problem, but who knows what the next
batch might be like.
