Re: son/military
Yeh, he wanted to go into demolition. I lost it. THIS coming from a kid
who can't even light a firecracker correctly. I don't think so. So he
has opted for something else, thank the gods and goddesses all over the
place. He talked about being a military police too. I just want him to
go to school and have a carreer after all of this is said and done.

Well, I'm sure you and he know that the longer he signs for, the better his
options - and also more time for additional training here in the States b4
being sent out. My nephew signed on for 5 yrs in the Army, so he could be
an MP. His plan was to get his degree while in the srvice and then, when
out, to hopefully get a job at the State Police level. However, it appears
that he is now not so thrilled about being a policeman and is now
considering teaching. But still hasn't done anything about higher education
as he nears his 2 yr anniversary. Tough to do when you're sleeping in a
tent.
I know you'll worry about him, but you have to let him do his own growing
up.
