Does anyone know about house plants that are easy to keep?

Have you tried succulents? Aloes and Haworthias, especially, are pretty
undemanding. Some Aloes have brilliant flower spikes, and the plants
themselves are attractive. Haworthia blossoms are not as interesting
but the plants make pretty rosettes. You don't even need to water them
very often - that is, if you forget them for a week or so they'll still be
there. Some cactuses are like that, and may have even showier blooms,
but some of them can be tricky.
Hoyas are another that I have had good luck with, but I've heard others
say they are given to mealy bug infestations.
There's a whole world of pretty things out there.
