A bee suit should do the trick. If you have a tightly woven shirt & pants, &
substantial hat (like a pith helmet) you could probably buy just the gloves
& veil. Make sure your pant legs are tight at the bottom or tie a string
around. Heavy socks & shoes or boots also. Dadant is one supplier if you
don't have a source. When you get finished, brush yourself off downwind of
the house, then walk briskly away, to discourage any especially persistant
wasps. We used to keep bees.
