No doubt they've been having the same weather and should identify some,
Cathy.  I'm sure your place will look great.  Just put up an "under
construction" sign for the railroad areas not completed and a "Garden of
Weedin'" sign where you can't get the weeds out.  If you have a bed not
quite in the shape you think it should be, add a "My garden was at it's peak
last week.  So sorry you missed it." sign or for an area completely out of
control, try an "Unmade Bed" sign.  That will put some humor in the tour and
take a little load off you! LOL!!!

Five inches?? Could have used it, but what we have had is an on and off
steady rain that has totaled 2.5 inches so far. Praise the Lord!  
Of course, it has wreaked havoc with our attempts to prep for the tour this
Saturday. Especially DH and his railroad. He is famous for ignoring the
"everything takes longer than you think" dictum -- I don't think he will be
pouring cement for the rail bed this evening!  
I was planning on weeding the shade garden, but will attack it full bore
tomorrow. Our guests had better be prepared for a "casual" garden.
