I've had quite a few Heucheras, including a very nice sampler from Dan Heims a few years ago. Very few of them survive here for long, though I've had 'Autumn Bride' and 'Plum Pudding' for 3 years or so. I think 'Pewter Veil' is still living. I'm giving up on them.

Mine are with other ferns and hostas, but I really like the idea of planting it with Heurachas. Some of the colored ones would be beautiful.

What goes with Autumn Fern? It's a good, tough plant, and I'd like to use it more, but the color is pretty brash, and of course it's pretty big.

One of my friends says it looked good with her Pieris this spring, but that was only for a short while.
