That was about the demographic when I was a docent at one of the gardens on our MG tour a couple of weeks ago. A total of 6 men showed up on my shift. There were several small busloads of people from retirement villages, and carpools from nearby MG groups - mostly 50+ females.

Tour observation: It is the over 40 group that are interested in gardens,
plants, etc. 60%, maybe more are female.
