It's been a long day, but he was doing pretty well when I left a while ago. My sister is staying with him for a couple of days, thank goodness. There was a bit of leakage of the "cement" but fortunately into the muscle, not into the spinal canal, and the Dr. didn't think it would be a problem. He was in recovery longer than anticipated - over 3 hours, but he was lucid and walking a bit before he left.
Unfortunately, he took a small tumble in the bathroom about 15 minutes after we got home, and he's not supposed to bend, twist or lift anything over 8 pounds for a month at least. He landed on the edge of the tub, sitting hard, but didn't land on the floor. I still can't believe they send a 92 year old out of the hospital so soon.
Thanks, all, for asking, and for your prayers.
