The gym I go to has membership requirements for everything but "Silver Sneakers" and Arthritis Aquatics. These are both available to the public for a small fee, a couple of dollars per class, I think, and many insurance plans pick up the tab. I think that the arthritis foundation requires membership-free classes in order to use the name. There is, or used to be, a way to search for classes at www.arthritis.org .

Daryl, we do not have anything available in our suburb but I know there is in
the greater Des Moines area but probably a membership is reqd.
