Re: Tomatoes!!


We grew Early Girl tomatoes last year and apparently missed one because we have a vigorous volunteer this year. Since EG is a hybrid, our current plant likely has slightly different characteristics. For one thing, EG is determinant and the seedling does not appear to be [three fruits ripened last week; there are several green ones maturing]. Of course, night-time temperatures are now so high that blooming has stopped; it will be interesting to see if it resumes in the fall.
