We have dens of coyotes in the fields just a couple blocks south of my home. It's neat to see them, but sad to lose cats & other small pets to them. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vera Metzke" <vmetzke@gmail.com>

Very sorry to hear about this. Even here in our area cats, small dogs andany small animal is game. We have always had the farms with missing animals but the edges of town have even had some problems. They at first thought it was dogs till the police managed to catch one in the act and did ... disposeof it. A block from me is the town creek adn I just wonder if the disappearance of some - only a few of the furrow cats might be the same reason. ??? Watch your self too! In past even small children were frightened/chased by them. Vera On 6/12/07, Donna <gossiper@sbcglobal.net> wrote:So sorry to hear all of this Zem... I would be crushed as I am sure they became part of your life. I do understand the food chain... doesn't mean I really like it. I am sure the town folks won't see the connection. It would have been a lot harder to deal with if peoplehad been involved. There was no way to have avoided the coyotes. zem ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kitty" <kmrsy@comcast.net> To: <gardenchat@hort.net> Sent: Tuesday, June 12, 2007 6:20 PM Subject: Re: [CHAT] Cat News > Zem, that must be really hard to deal with.
