Grass Valley is northeast of Sacramento about 1 1/2 hours, north of I-80, which goes between Sacramento and Truckee (northeasterly). I am approx due west of Truckee about an hour or so. Grass Valley is in the foothills (2500-3000 ft) in the Gold Rush country.

Barb, where is Grass Valley?   My brother lives in Morgan Hill but has a
weekend home at Tahoe but on the Truckee side.
