Can you get Lyme repeatedly, or does the antibiotic not knock it out completely?
Doctors - pfff! My PA is better than a doctor. She listens! d----- Original Message ----- From: <Aplfgcnys@aol.com>

Oh, no, I've been treated several times, but grudgingly each time I've been told they didn't believe I had Lyme - the fact that I improved with doxycycline was just a placebo effect. No one has ever proposed another diagnosis. On a couple of occasions I persuaded another specialist - my eye doctor - to give me the antibiotic for an eye infection. It was very dry, though thesun seemed reluctant to shine, until the last few days, when we have had about five inches of rain - enough to bring the pond back to its normal level. Well, now I have another excuse. I have been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. The remarkable thing about this is that I have struggled with Lyme for about 20 years, and usually have been unable to get a doctor to admitthat I had it, even when it was indicated by the blood tests. They didn'toffer any other diagnosis - just said they didn't believe I had Lyme. In other words they thought I was malingering. I went in this time with another complaint, and the doctor declared that I had full-blown Lyme. OK, maybe this time they will finally do something about it. It's a relief to have it finally acknowledged that it is not just all in my head. Maybe I will still get the garden together before the end of summer. Auralie**************Dell Days of Deals!
