Re: my gardening season

Donna,
somehow you always seem to find time - I don't know how you do it. I'm behind on things too. We had good weather up until now and this week is blistering hot 90s. The first tomatoes are coming on - can't wait! I put in 4 plants this time; 2 cherry & 2 'Legend', a 6oz slicer.

Subject: [CHAT] my gardening season

This year, knowing that I had no time for gardening due to scheduled surgeries of my mother, I decided not to do any new plantings or annuals this season. Figured I would work on some restructuring and attempt to get the weeds under
control instead of spending the little time trying to keep things watered
etc.

So what happened.....

I haven't water yet, nor would I have had too. We got over 8 inches in June and the month isn't over. This is the first week of hot weather. I was right
about not having time, cause every day I had free was raining so the
restructuring isn't working either. Mothers surgery has been postponed so
many times, not sure when it will happen. (was to be next Tuesday, but now
monday she is going for cardiac thing instead)

For those that made it this far in the message, my house must look bare. My non-gardening neighbor who I am not social with dropped off a flat of annuals last night. Claims he was at the farmers market and a friend gave it to him
and figured I could use them.

Place must be looking bare is all I can think of....LOL!
