It sounds nice. Hope it takes off, you'll have that nice minty fresh
fragrance when you walk on it. 
I remember at my mother's house she had planted mint in a corner of her
little border garden and it spread into the lawn, but not terribly
aggressive. Smelling it when you mowed was a little pleasant bit of a
boring job.

Well...I planted it tonight and checked out the area.  No competition
for growth.  Never mulched there, and won't.  2-3 years ago I had put
pea gravel and larger rocks there.  They just got mashed down into the
dirt over time so the soil is damp and rocky.  It gets about 4-5 hours
of morning sun.  Not much traffic there.  It gets plenty of moisture
because it is close to where I water the horses and it gets run-off.
I guess time will tell.  And yes Kitty, it's the small, flat leafed
kind.  It's the stuff that Cream deMint (sp) is made of.  The lady I
bought it from at the farmers market said it did well for her in shade
or full sun.
