RE: Hostas

Chris, I'm with you.  I love hosta blooms.  I have what I think is called
"Honey Bells" that really perfumes the air in mid to late summer.  I'm
always amazed that folks chop off the flower stalks without enjoying the
flowers.   (No offense to those that cut off the blooms.)   I think hostas
are a win/win type of plant for both bloom and foliage.  The only think I'd
like to see in a Hosta is an evergreen variety in the North! LOL!!! Wouldn't
that be something?

I actually grow hostas for foliage and bloom.  Some I grow for their
fragrance or to add flower color to my white garden, for instance.  H.
'Ginko Craig' has luscious deep lilac blooms.  Some even have double
blooms.  I'm looking for these cultivars. I love flowers and hostas have
a long bloom time!
