I suppose it's much like Four O'Clocks, Marvel of Peru, Mirabilis jalapa. 
Plant the seed one year and you can dig up the tubers that develop and
store them over winter.  The Vigna can grow to 20-25 feet, but I would
assume you'd have to take it in overwinter to eventually get that kind of
length if you don't grow it where it is hardy, Z9-10.
