Re: re: Bamboo

Cathy: I don't have any (read..."yet") but as my husband and I both love
it whenever we see it, this is on our list of plants to get in the not
too distant future. There is a gardener in a nearby city who
successfully grows bamboo here in central Iowa, so I know it can be
done...

Do you have clumping bamboo, Melody? How does it fare in the hot
summer? I haven't gotten any because I heard that while they are quite
cold hardy (being from the hymalayas) they don't like a lot of heat,
and you know what prairie summers can be like!
