Pam, it's a wonder you haven't been ridden out of town on a rail!  A
southerner who doesn't like okra!  Lordy, Lordy:-)

Jesse and Zem...no, I haven't had this done either of your
ways...might just be a lot more edible than what I've had.  It's not
the taste so much as the texture that does not thrill me...

Zem, cholesterol aside, bacon grease adds  flavor to quite a few
things...I use it and always have and always will:-)
