OHMYGOSH...sounds like something I would do...or my husband. I came home one night...just in the nick of time...to find a candle had burned down in the glass too far, got hot and broke...and caught a table runner on fire. It had just started!!! I forgot to blow it out. Boy did my husband lecture me on that one...and I deserved it.
