My Manchu Rose, Rosa xanthina, has never had a mark on it, and this is
the land of blackspot. Big thorns and leaves that look like no other
rose.

The Chestnut rose does not even like to be sprayed, has beautiful
fern-like
leaves and very pretty small flowers. Mine is enormous -- about six feet
in
every direction. Also The Fairy has never gotten black spot here, and I
think
it's adorable.
