I'm woefully behind on emails and this may already have been mentioned, but
if you're not already sick of trains, I'd highly recommend taking the bus
from Durango to Silverton, and then riding the narrow gauge steam train back
to Durango. It's incredible. You can take the train both ways if you want.
Sounds like a fantastic scenery trip!
