Yeh, that's an "Okie" term for dumb, red-necked cowboys. Now, don't get me wrong...my grandfather was a cowboy. He raised cattle, grew wheat, wore his Stetson hat to church and his boots every single day of his life. But he was not a "goat-roaper". Those are the "YEE HAW" types that give cowboys a bad name.
