Hmmm- well it has a baby in the pot with it (one of the seeds it had actually germinated! I'm so proud because the seed was from my 'paintbrush' pollenating.) So- maybe this summer I could plant the baby out and keep the parent inside (or vice versa).

Don't know if there's any hardiness difference between orange and yellow, Theresa. My yellow one has been growing out side ever since I got it, at first in the lath house and for the last few years in shade on the front patio.

Hey- Mine out front near my door has buds on it too! My yellow one inside isn't doing a thing. Do you think I can plant it outside too, or is it more sensitive to cold that the regular orange kind?

Client brought us a present today--a blooming Clivia moniata, a nice orange one with lots of pups. After we enjoy the blooms, we'll probably divvy up the offspring.
